DESCRIPTION:Binocular Night\nJoin Pagosa Sidewalk Astronomers for a tour of the night sky! Bring your own binoculars and your Star Guide will point out large Deep Sky Objects that look great with binoculars! If you have a red light flashlight or headlamp\, bring that\, too!\nWe will meet at sunset at the Coyote Hill trailhead. Please turn off your lights ASAP so our eyes can adjust to the darkness. Overflow parking available in the Turkey Springs trailhead parking lot across the street. Please be on time. The tour starts promptly at 8:30pm!\nIt will be cold\, so dress accordingly. We will only stay out for an hour or less! We should be able to view binary star systems\, planets\, the moon\, star clusters\, and even a nebula or galaxy\, if we’re lucky!

Your Star Guide will give a short presentation on the planets in our solar system and then point out Mars\, Jupiter\, Uranus\, Venus\, and Saturn. \nWe will have a telescope set up so everyone can take turns viewing Jupiter and the Galilean moons: Io\, Europa\, Ganymede\, and Callisto. \nIt will be cold\, so dress accordingly. Please arrive on time and dim headlights ASAP. Presentation begins at 7:00! \n
